Sitter4Paws – Pet Sitting & Dog Walking
01
Services & Bookings
Sitter4Paws provides personalised pet care at Clients' homes and, where applicable, in public locations.
Services may include Home Visits, Extended Visits, Dog Walking, Dog Outings, Overnight Stays, Live-In Pet Sitting and Key Collection/Return, as well as other services agreed in advance.
All bookings are handled manually. Submitting an inquiry, completing a form or contacting me does not guarantee availability or confirm a booking.
A booking is confirmed only once the service, availability and price have been discussed and confirmed in writing.
For new Clients, a meet & greet will generally take place before the first booking unless otherwise agreed.
02
Client & Pet Information
Clients are responsible for providing complete, accurate and up-to-date information about themselves, their pets and the service location.
This includes relevant information about your pet's health, medication, allergies, behaviour, routines, special requirements, veterinary details and emergency contacts, as well as accurate home-access instructions where applicable.
Please notify Sitter4Paws promptly if any relevant information changes.
Required Client forms must be completed where applicable. Failure to provide important information may affect my ability to safely provide the service and may result in a booking being modified, declined or terminated.
03
Pet Health, Behaviour & Emergencies
Clients must disclose any known medical conditions, medication requirements, contagious illnesses, allergies, aggression, reactivity, escape tendencies, severe anxiety or other behaviour that may affect the safety or care of the pet.
I may refuse, modify, suspend or terminate a service where a pet presents a safety risk or where its needs cannot reasonably be met within the agreed service.
If a pet becomes ill or injured while in my care, I will make reasonable efforts to contact the Client and/or nominated emergency contact.
Where urgent veterinary attention is reasonably considered necessary and the Client or emergency contact cannot be reached in time, I may seek appropriate veterinary assistance.
The Client remains responsible for reasonable veterinary, medication, transport and other related costs, except where such costs arise from Sitter4Paws' negligence or other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
04
Client's Home, Keys & Access
For services provided at the Client's home, the Client authorises Sitter4Paws to enter the property for the agreed purpose and duration.
Clients are responsible for providing safe and reliable access and accurate instructions regarding keys, locks, alarms, gates and other security arrangements.
Sitter4Paws will take reasonable care when accessing and securing the property but cannot accept responsibility for problems caused by faulty equipment, inaccurate instructions, third-party interference or circumstances outside my reasonable control.
Any keys, access cards, remotes or similar items provided remain the Client's property and will be treated with reasonable care.
Where a key or access device is lost, faulty or cannot be used due to circumstances outside my control, the Client may be responsible for reasonable costs required to obtain or restore access.
05
Live-In & Overnight Care
For Live-In and Overnight services, Sitter4Paws provides pet care within the Client's home for the agreed booking period. The expected level of care and presence will be discussed before the booking is confirmed.
Live-In care does not mean that I am required to remain inside the property continuously for every minute of the booking.
Reasonable periods away may be necessary for personal errands, obtaining food or essential supplies, attending to reasonable personal needs or other circumstances that do not interfere with the agreed care.
Any time away will be kept reasonable and appropriate to the pet's needs, taking into consideration factors such as age, health, behaviour, toileting, feeding, medication and specific instructions.
If continuous presence is required, this must be discussed and agreed before the booking is confirmed and may affect availability or pricing.
With the Client's prior permission, given through the Client forms or other communication, I may occasionally have a personal guest visit during a Live-In or Overnight booking. I may also arrange reasonable food or personal deliveries.
Live-In and Overnight services are pet-care services and not house-sitting, security or property-management services, unless specifically agreed otherwise.
06
Pricing & Additional Charges
Prices displayed on the website are starting prices unless otherwise stated.
The final price may vary depending on factors such as the service and duration, number of pets, location and travel, public holidays or peak periods, additional care requirements, key collection/return and additional hours.
Standard service hours are 08:00–20:00. Additional hours requested outside these times may be charged at €10 per hour, in addition to the applicable service rate.
Overnight care included within Overnight Stays and Live-In Care is not subject to this additional-hours charge.
The final price and any applicable additional charges will be confirmed before the booking is finalised.
07
Payments
Bookings and payments are handled manually.
Payment methods may include bank transfer, Revolut, cash and other methods agreed in advance.
Payment must be made by the agreed deadline communicated at the time of booking.
Where payment is not received as agreed, Sitter4Paws may release or cancel the booking after reasonable notice where appropriate.
Any deposit or advance payment required for a particular booking will be communicated before confirmation.
08
Cancellations & Rescheduling
I understand that plans can change and will always do my best to accommodate cancellations or changes where possible.
However, confirmed dates and times are reserved specifically for you and may prevent me from accepting other bookings.
Cancellation fees may therefore apply and will generally range from 25% to 75% of the total booking value, depending on the circumstances.
The applicable fee will take into consideration factors such as the notice provided, length and type of booking, timing or peak periods, how close the cancellation is to the booking date, whether the dates can reasonably be rebooked and any reasonable costs or losses incurred.
Where sufficient notice is provided and the booking can reasonably be reallocated, I will endeavour to reduce or waive the cancellation fee where appropriate.
Booking changes are subject to availability and may result in a change to the agreed price.
Nothing in this section limits any mandatory consumer rights under Maltese or European Union law.
09
Safety, Responsibility & Unforeseen Circumstances
Sitter4Paws will provide services with reasonable care and skill. However, pets are living animals and may behave unpredictably.
I cannot guarantee that a pet will never become ill, injured, frightened, escape or cause damage.
Clients remain responsible for their pet's behaviour and for reasonable costs arising from their pet's actions, including veterinary, cleaning, repair or replacement costs, except where caused by Sitter4Paws' negligence or other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Services may need to be changed, shortened, postponed or cancelled due to severe weather, illness, accidents, unsafe conditions, emergencies, transport disruption or other circumstances outside my reasonable control.
The safety and welfare of the pet, Client and Pet Sitter will always take priority.
10
Right to Refuse or End a Service
Sitter4Paws may refuse, suspend or end a service where reasonably necessary, including where:
-
Important information has not been disclosed;
-
The pet presents an unacceptable safety risk;
-
The environment is unsafe/unhygienic;
-
The pet requires care beyond the agreed service;
-
Payment has not been made as agreed;
-
The Client behaves abusively, threateningly or inappropriately; or
-
Circumstances outside my reasonable control prevent the service.
Where possible, I will communicate the reason and discuss whether an alternative arrangement is possible.
11
Loyalty Programme
Sitter4Paws may operate a Loyalty Programme through which Clients can earn points through eligible bookings, referrals and other activities specified by Sitter4Paws.
Existing eligible Clients who register for a Client account may have their existing points transferred to their account.
Points have no cash value and rewards are redeemed manually. Clients should let me know when they wish to redeem an eligible reward at the time of booking so that I can adjust their points and apply the reward.
Referral points may be awarded where a referred person is a genuine new Client and completes an eligible booking, subject to the applicable Loyalty Programme rules.
Sitter4Paws may correct points balances where points have been awarded incorrectly, duplicated or obtained through misuse.
12
Client Accounts, Forms & Privacy
Where a Client Hub or Client account is available, Clients are responsible for keeping their information accurate and their login details secure.
Required forms must be completed honestly and kept up to date. Clients should notify Sitter4Paws if relevant information changes.
If you do not wish to maintain an online Client account, you may contact me to discuss alternative arrangements for completing required forms.
Personal information is collected, used and stored in accordance with the Sitter4Paws Privacy Policy and applicable data-protection legislation.
13
Website Information
The Sitter4Paws website provides general information about services, pricing and policies.
Starting prices, services and other information may be updated from time to time.
Every booking is individually reviewed and confirmed. Website information does not guarantee a particular service, price, date or availability, and submitting an online inquiry does not create a confirmed booking.
14
Complaints & Changes to These Terms
If you have a concern regarding a service, please contact Sitter4Paws as soon as reasonably possible so that I have an opportunity to review and address it.
I will make reasonable efforts to resolve legitimate concerns fairly.
These Terms may be updated from time to time to reflect changes to Sitter4Paws, its services or applicable legal requirements. The latest version will be available on the Sitter4Paws website.
Changes will not retrospectively alter the agreed terms of an already confirmed booking where doing so would adversely affect the Client's contractual or legal rights.
15
Governing Law & Client Acceptance
These Terms and agreements for services provided by Sitter4Paws are governed by the laws of Malta.
By requesting, booking or using Sitter4Paws services, the Client confirms that they have had the opportunity to read these Terms and understand that bookings are manually confirmed, prices may vary according to individual requirements, cancellation fees may apply, and relevant Client forms and policies must be completed where applicable.
Nothing in these Terms removes or limits any mandatory legal rights available to the Client under Maltese or European Union law.
By proceeding with a booking or using Sitter4Paws services, the Client confirms their acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.
