At Sitter4Paws, your privacy is important to me. This Privacy Policy explains how I collect, use, store and protect your personal information when you contact me, use my website, create a Client account, complete forms, make an inquiry or use my pet-sitting services.

Sitter4Paws is operated by Chantelle Agius, a registered self-employed pet sitter in Malta.

02 — Information I Collect

Depending on the services you use, I may collect your name and contact details, booking and payment information, address and home-access details, emergency contact information, and information provided through booking forms and the Client Hub.

As I provide personalised pet care, I may also collect information about your pet, including their routines, behaviour, medical needs, medication, allergies and veterinary details. This information is collected only where reasonably necessary to provide safe and appropriate care.

Please ensure that the information you provide is accurate and kept up to date, particularly where it relates to your pet's health, behaviour, emergency contacts or access to your home.

03 — How & Why I Use Your Information

I use your information to manage inquiries and bookings, provide safe and personalised care, communicate with you about your bookings, manage payments and cancellations, maintain Client Hub records and administer the Loyalty Programme.

Where necessary, I may also use your information to contact your nominated emergency contact or veterinarian, protect the safety of pets, Clients and myself, maintain appropriate business records, comply with legal obligations, or protect my legitimate business interests.

The legal basis for processing your information may include performing a contract, complying with legal obligations, legitimate interests or your consent, depending on the circumstances. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time.

04 — Sharing & Third-Party Services

I do not sell your personal information.

Your information will only be shared where reasonably necessary to provide your services, operate Sitter4Paws or comply with the law. This may include your nominated emergency contact or veterinarian, payment providers, website and technology providers, professional advisers or insurers, and relevant authorities where legally required.

The Sitter4Paws website is operated using Wix and may use other third-party services for website, Client Hub, form, communication or payment functionality. Where applicable, these providers may process information in accordance with their own privacy policies and applicable data-protection requirements.

I will only provide information that is reasonably necessary for the relevant purpose.

05 — How I Store & Protect Your Information

Your information may be stored through the Sitter4Paws website and Client Hub, secure digital systems, password-protected devices, email and physical records kept in a secure location.

I take reasonable steps to protect your information against unauthorised access, loss, misuse or disclosure. However, no electronic or physical storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

06 — How Long I Keep Your Information

I retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, or where I am legally required or permitted to keep it.

Relevant Client and pet information may be retained for future bookings so that I can provide consistent and safe care. When information is no longer necessary, it will be securely deleted or destroyed where appropriate, subject to any legal, accounting, tax, insurance or other legitimate retention requirements.

Subject to applicable law, you may have the right to request access to, correction, deletion or restriction of your personal information, object to certain processing, request data portability, or withdraw consent where applicable.

Under the GDPR, I will generally respond to a valid request within one month. In certain circumstances, this period may be extended where permitted by law, and you will be informed if an extension is necessary.

The Sitter4Paws website may use cookies and similar technologies for essential website functionality and, where applicable, other features such as analytics.
